Our Mission

Our mission

Transforming fashion from a logic of overproduction to a logic of valuing what already exists.

Rethinking fashion

The fashion industry produces too much, discards too much, and forgets too quickly. At JAMYAS, we reject this model. Our mission is to prove that it is possible to create desirable clothing without fueling overproduction. Changing fashion isn't about judging those who buy fast fashion; it's about offering a meaningful alternative, without making anyone feel guilty.

Valuing what exists

We give a second life to dormant fabrics—those stocks of fabric forgotten in workshops and warehouses. Every meter of dormant fabric we use is a meter that does not need to be produced by extracting new natural resources. It is our way of reducing fashion's environmental footprint, without compromising on style.

Because they do not allow for huge production runs, these fabrics are often considered unusable by the industry.

There are also fabrics with defects: sometimes a 500-meter roll has a few small flaws, holes, or snags. Repairing them, you ask? A waste of time for some manufacturers. But for us, it is the exact opposite: we repair the fabrics and create small batches. Each piece becomes unique, carried by a history and craftsmanship that mass production cannot replicate.

Not producing at any cost, accepting the wait

In a world where everything moves fast, we also choose to accept time and the availability of materials. At JAMYAS, out-of-stock items are not a marketing strategy: they are simply linked to the dormant fabrics we find.

If there is no surplus available, we do not produce. Because we do not want to sell at any cost.

Sometimes you have to accept waiting, let time decide, and appreciate a piece even more when it finally arrives.

Waiting rather than overproducing. That’s also what JAMYAS is about.

Creating inclusive and sustainable fashion

Our clothes are designed for all bodies and to last over time. Inclusive in their cuts, durable in their quality, they are designed to accompany the lives of those who wear them, season after season.

Relying on craftsmanship

We work hand in hand with the workshops that make our collections. Each piece is the result of human expertise, a precise gesture, and attention to detail. Valuing what exists also means valuing the people who make it possible.

What's next?

Our next trousers will be made exclusively on pre-order to produce only what is actually expected.

Just a few more days before we put the whole process in place.

With you, the Jams, we are writing a new page in fashion history.
